Infiniti M35 Radiators

The radiator in your luxury sedan is a critical part of its greater cooling system, one that's responsible for keeping the car's engine from overheating. If you've ever wondered what one does exactly, you're in luck: you can learn all about it, right here.

All About INFINITI M35 Radiators

How Yours Works

It's simple. First, a water pump helps transport liquid coolant (commonly known as antifreeze) between radiator inlet and outlet hoses. As the antifreeze moves, it captures heat, and a radiator cap pressurizes the fluid in the process.

When the coolant has absorbed as much heat as it can, the radiator's fins release it. It disperses into the air, helped by a cooling fan. As a result, your engine not only keep working properly but also lasts longer.

A radiator isn't permanent, though. Unfortunately, it can fail, causing other problems in the process, such as heating and air conditioning malfunctions and even engine failure. Luckily, the symptoms it's going bad are easy to spot.

The Signs of a Bad One

• Listen for unusual engine noise
• Look for corrosion on (or damaged) radiator fins, debris in the radiator, coolant that's turned to sludge, and steam coming from under the hood
• Smell for the sweet, syrupy odor of ethylene glycol (it usually means you have a coolant leak
• Look at the temperature gauge on your dashboard to see if it reads hot

Do a radiator inspection to figure out what's happening. If its results indicate the need for repairs, our catalog should have the parts you need for the job. You can even order them online. What you buy will come straight from INFINITI, too.
