For that INFINITI you love to drive to run without its engine getting damaged, the timing of its moving parts must be extremely accurate. Its camshaft and crankshaft, for instance, must synchronize to make the engine's valves and pistons pump at the right intervals. Its timing belt makes sure that happens. However, when a timing belt is going out, it can be hard to diagnose. There aren't too many signs. If yours begins to break down or slips, it can cause engine misfires, usually with no warning. If it completely fails, your engine will lose power. It'll probably even shut down. If you drive an INFINITI with a timing chain, however, when it breaks, the crack it makes will be loud.

How Often Do INFINITI Timing Belts Need to Be Replaced?

The maintenance schedule in your vehicle's owner's manual will tell you. Your mileage will determine it. If you're driving a newer model, you probably need to change your timing belt about every 100,000 miles. Older models, however, may need their timing belts replaced approximately every 60,000 miles. Today's timing chains, on the other hand? They get built to last, usually for an engine's lifetime. The best replacement for either of these projects is a genuine OEM. That's because timing belts made by INFINITI are designed compatible with your model specifically. So, avoid the line at the parts counter. Buy a new one online from our parts store today. We have plenty in stock and ready to ship.
